Our thanks to those who came out on a beautiful sunny day to learn about FireSmart and the grant Piers Island has received from UBCM for FireSmart Educational Activities and FireSmart Weekends that will occur on Piers.
We are in a Wildland Interface Area (WUI) on Piers, but there are steps we can take to safeguard our properties. Our best results will come from working together as a community and the great turnout on May 7th to learn about it was very positive.
